Civilization changes, law transformations, technological development - especially in fluency and availability of information - are these days needed as for people as for whole organizations, which they should react properly on. The reaction take form chasing those changes, going with changes, active reaction on changes or stagnation. The transformation of the health care, which is being realized, needs modification of personnel education, making their skills better and better, because they are going to cope with many aspects challenges of wide understood health care of society.
Modern inventions of creating the optimal health care take notice that there is necessity of coordination actions of medicians personnel and nurses personnel and other medical professionalists as well as public health specialists.
There is need of expending the health care knowledge of all workers and making better the communication systems, thank the cooperation and partnership in team is possible to. There is a necessity to cope the fact that the main condition of further, effective work is directing the personnel, in personnel education process, on creating brand new active behaviours of incoming knowledge and skills.
The participants of competention development programme ought to be prepared to continuous verification of own qualifications and skills - owned and desired - for the effective job functioning in stable and predictable conditions. At the same time they should also - if there is need - modify, develop and adapt the knowledge and skills in urgent, difficult and unspecified conditions. Another words, it is very important for them not to take the reality as a long-lasting, stable construct. Things that appear to be enough condition to achieve designed aims, later can be not enough to definite the aims.
The personnel, who cares about public health, needs to be able to think in strategically, tactic and creative way. They ought to have the medical - epidemiological knowledge and knowledge of health and illnesses conditioning, health care management, as develop soft skills such as skills connected with communication, having influence on other people, patients needs diagnosis, building motivation and engagements in work.
Having on mind upper explained changes - and growing expectations - it is noticed a dynamic development of new brand of knowledge, which is called public health.
This book presents chosen aspects of wide understood health care topics. In its authors opinion the main role in diagnosing, explaining and prohibition of unwell circumstances process - men and the whole societies - plays education. The main task of medical personnel is action for other people, caring of their physical and psychological well-state.
