Whenever I'm stuck for inspiration or am looking for an entertaining and easy read, I always turn to my battered Stephen King collection. Although his earlier work sometimes lacks the pace and 'epicness' of his later pieces, I've always preferred them - and each one I read leads me onto another re-read (I want to re-read The Shining again after reading this!) I think that - along with Alan Pangborne - Andy was perhaps one of the first fictional guys I ever fell in love with.
